About The Role

Cluster Events Co-ordinator
Rate of pay / Hours: £12.60ph / 30hrs
Contract type: Part Time
Location: Malmaison & Hotel Du Vin Newcastle

We’re looking for a Cluster Events Co-ordinator to join our team and play a crucial role in driving the meetings and events agenda for the cluster. You would handle high value enquiries including product launches, team meetings, large conferences, social celebrations and weddings, providing a varied workload within a dynamic close-knit team.

Reporting to the Cluster Meetings & Events Manager, your key objectives would be to handle enquiries effectively, contract event business and ensure strong product knowledge to execute a smooth customer journey from start to finish, including liaising on final details.

Key Responsibilities & Objectives

  • To manage meeting, private event and wedding enquiries
  • To drive occupancy and revenue for the meeting spaces within the hotel
  • To drive occupancy of bedrooms, for MICE enquiries with groups attached
  • To work according to the SOPs within the brand, ensuring adoption of best practice
  • To ensure high level of attention to detail when creating proposals and function sheets for the hotel’s operation team
  • To develop relationships and rapport with potential clients, adopting a consultative sales approach
  • To ensure all deposits and final payments are received in a timely manner as per the brand SOP
  • To confidently execute client site visits during their decision making process
  • To support the Cluster Meetings & Events Manager with any other ad-hoc tasks as required
