Opened 2007. 49 Bedrooms. 120-seater Bistro & Bar. 3 Private Event Spaces – seating up to 50. With stunning Regency architecture and beautifully manicured gardens, Cheltenham is made up of many unique districts. The hotel is located near The Promenade in the chic Montpellier district.

Rate of pay / Hours: £12.75 per hour plus TRONC (service charge)

The Night Porter oversees the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise. This is a hands-on role managing guest expectations and maintaining the standards of the brand. During the night, you will manage the Food & Beverage Department, welcome guests in a friendly and helpful manner, keep public areas immaculate, clean public areas, and prepare meeting and event spaces for the next day. You will assist guests with luggage, handle enquiries, and carry out nightly Health and Safety audits. You should be organised and an excellent communicator.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee hotel operations during night hours and ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Manage the Food & Beverage department during the night shift; greet guests and maintain cleanliness of public spaces.
  • Clean public areas and prepare meeting and event spaces for the next day.
  • Assist guests with luggage and respond to enquiries.
  • Carry out nightly Health and Safety audits.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role is beneficial and night shift experience is essential.
  • Ability to work a range of shifts; flexibility offered.
Work Availability and Career Opportunities

We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Shift patterns and contracted hours can be discussed at interview. Apprenticeships are available alongside brand training. Successful candidates can progress to Night Supervisory or Assistant Night Management roles.
