About the role
Hotel du Vin Avon Gorge is searching for a leader who understands that running a successful business involves more than exceeding brand standards or managing a P&L. The General Manager will look after the team, develop them, and deliver the expectation of celebrity service. The role requires driving brand strategy across all business elements, distinguishing the hotel as a preferred employer and destination.
Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the hotel team, setting pace from the front.
- Drive brand strategy and set Hotel du Vin apart from competitors.
- Maximise revenue by understanding the local market and managing detail through department managers.
- Nurture a high-performance culture, focusing on customer service and operational excellence.
- Oversee food & beverage, ensuring quality and profitability in a property of similar size.
- Manage seasonal peaks and maintain high standards of service.
Qualifications
- Previous experience managing a similar sized hotel and operation.
- Experience motivating teams in hospitality with busy seasonal peaks.
- Sound knowledge of food and drink in a similar sized property.
- Strong leadership, communication and business acumen.
