Opened May 2020, the hotel features 150 bedrooms, a 124-seater Bar & Grill, a private dining room, and a 200-seater rooftop bar & terrace. It offers Pan-Asian fusion tapas & cocktails, a Starbucks with an outdoor terrace, 4 meeting rooms, and 6 meeting pods, with the largest space seating 180. The hotel includes a TechnoGym with a selection of cardio, fixed resistance, free weights & functional equipment, as well as a spa with 4 treatment rooms, a relaxation area, and 2 manicure & 2 pedicure stations.
The design of the hotel takes inspiration from the city's industrial heritage and brutalist architecture, mixing concrete and moody elements with softer textures and confectionery touch points, drawing on York's famous alumni including the Rowntree and the Terry families. Situated on the corner of Rougier Street, the hotel is close to some of the city's most famous attractions, including York Minster, York Castle, and the historic city walls.

As Waiter / Waitress, you'll be the welcoming face of our Sora Sky Bar & Restaurant. You'll play a key part in delivering a smooth and enjoyable experience by coordinating with the kitchen and restaurant management, ensuring our guests feel relaxed, cared for, and eager to return. We’re typically busiest in the evenings and at weekends; we’ll discuss your contract and availability at interview.
