Night Porter, Malmaison in Oxford

Overview

The Night Porter is instrumental in overseeing the running of the hotel from sundown to sunrise. This is a hands-on role managing guest expectations and ensuring the standards of the brand are maintained. As guests sleep, the Nights team keep everything running like clockwork. The role involves taking responsibility for the Food & Beverage Department during the night, welcoming guests in a friendly and helpful manner, and ensuring that the public areas are kept immaculate. You will be cleaning public areas and preparing meeting and event spaces for the next day. You will assist guests with luggage, deal with enquiries, and carry out nightly Health and Safety audits. The position requires you to be organized and an excellent communicator. Experience in a similar role is beneficial and night shift experience is essential. We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year and offer flexibility with shifts and days. We can discuss shift patterns and contracted hours at interview. We offer career training through nationally recognized apprenticeships alongside detailed brand training to differentiate guest experiences. Successful candidates can progress to Night Supervisory or Assistant Night Management roles.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role is beneficial.
• Experience of night shift work is essential.
