Opened in 2003, the hotel features 97 bedrooms, a 65-seater Bar & Grill, and 6 private event spaces, with the largest seating up to 45. Previously a nurses' home, the hotel is located within Charterhouse Square in Farringdon, surrounded by Tudor and Stuart architecture restored after the London Blitz. While situated in a calm residential square, you can hear the bells of Great St Bart's and the bustle of Smithfield Market, one of the oldest markets in London.
About the Role
As a Room Attendant, you will work as part of the Housekeeping team to ensure all guest bedrooms are cleaned daily to the highest standards. You will need an eye for detail and high standards to meet our guests' expectations for a perfect night’s stay. Conversational English is essential, as is the ability to work independently. You will play a vital role in ensuring all bedrooms are clean and tidy for our guests' arrivals and continued stays.
Shift patterns are predominantly set, usually between 9am – 3pm, 5 days out of 7, with flexible start times between 9am – 10am. Earlier start times can be discussed at interview, along with flexible contracts or weekend work. The role requires a level of fitness to complete the tasks effectively. Full training in the use of chemicals and equipment will be provided. Experience in a similar role isn't required, but a positive attitude and desire to make a difference within the hotel are essential.
We actively encourage internal development and progression, with opportunities to enrol in our apprenticeship scheme after completing the probationary period.
