Located in Berkshire, our operations are notable for their focus on in-house design and manufacturing. This vertical integration means we control the production of most aircraft components on-site, enhancing our ability to innovate and maintain high standards across all stages of development.

About The Role: Malloy Aeronautics is looking for a manual machinist to support continued company growth via our small machine shop. We are looking for a motivated and skilled Machinist to join our team. Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Program and set 3-axis VMC using machining strategies at the machine and / or off-line from 3D data.
  • Demonstrable experience in manual or CNC turning in either plastics or metallics.
  • Positive attitude - able to communicate good practices / ideas to designers and technicians.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings such that machined parts meet required specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
  • Prioritize and schedule work according to deadlines, ensuring effective use of machine time and sensible workflow.
  • Experience of MiG / arc welding of simple assemblies.

Essential Skills and Experiences:

  • Proven experience in machining, including manual milling and turning.
  • Good working knowledge of materials, tools, and machining processes.
  • Knowledge of health and safety standards in a machining environment.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with the ability to manage time and schedules effectively.
