Malloy Aeronautics Limited specializes in the development of heavy lift unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) for both civilian and military uses. Located southwest of Maidenhead at White Waltham Airfield, operations are notable for their focus on in-house design and manufacturing. This vertical integration means we control the production of most aircraft components on-site, enhancing our ability to innovate and maintain high standards across all stages of development.
Ability to hold Security Clearance – 5 years residence in the UK.
The job holder will play a pivotal part in supporting our deliveries to enable the wider business strategy. Activities include but are not restricted to:
- Responsible for providing realistic production planning through the use of SAP S4HANA. This role involves working with the assembly team and the various engineering teams to understand their business processes and designing solutions to optimise the production planning.
- The role will be responsible for the successful implementation and adoption of SAP S4HANA production functionality into the business and will continue to manage and keep SAP S4HANA current to the business to ensure that it is providing value for money and supports the business in delivering the business objectives.
- Provide guidance on new ideas and push the business forwards in operational thinking and resource management.
- Successfully implement SAP S4HANA production functionality into the business.
- Coordinate production workflow for multiple projects by understanding deadlines and working back to ensure all work can be completed in time for the final deliveries.
- Develop and maintain a robust production schedule detailing all tasks and lead-times to meet contractual deadlines and ensuring products are made efficiently with minimum delays.
- Work with the purchasing and stores teams to determine equipment and raw materials needed to cover upcoming production demand.
- Create work instructions using SAP S4HANA.
- Co-ordinate re-work/restoration/servicing for life limited parts to ensure that aircraft stay current and able to safely fly.
- Be adaptable by addressing issues when they arise with the aim for minimum disruption and on time contractual delivery.
- Delegate daily, weekly and monthly tasking to the appropriate departments to ensure efficient workflow and successful target deliveries.
- Managing production dates for both in house manufactured components and bought out finish items.
- Monitor production performance versus expected/planned and provide reports to the management team and suggestions on increasing efficiency.
- Scheduling of the production lines for different product groups and associated assemblies, factoring in production routing time and material lead time.
