We are seeking a proactive and organised legal PA to join a busy civil litigation team. The successful candidate will provide high‑quality secretarial and administrative support to the partner, helping to ensure efficient matter progression and excellent client service across a varied caseload. This is an excellent opportunity for a meticulous individual who wishes to develop their conveyancing knowledge within a modern, supportive law firm.

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive PA and secretarial support to fee earners, including managing diaries, arranging meetings and prioritising incoming correspondence to ensure prompt responses.

  • Prepare, proofread and type standard documentation.

  • Open and maintain matter files on the case management system, upload and index documents correctly, and ensure time and task records are kept up to date.

  • Monitor and diarise key dates, chase actions and keep clients and fee earners informed of progress.

  • Provide general administrative support including preparing bundles, scanning, filing and maintaining accurate electronic and physical filing systems.

Key skills and experience:

  • Previous experience as a legal PA, legal secretary, conveyancing assistant or similar role within a law firm, with exposure to residential property transactions preferred.

  • Strong secretarial skills including accurate typing, excellent attention to detail and good numeracy for preparing financial documentation.

  • Practical experience of case management systems.

  • Confident verbal and written communication skills with a professional manner when liaising with clients, fee earners and external parties.

  • Highly organised, able to prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

  • Ongoing investment in systems, infrastructure and professional development, including training and clear progression pathways.
