Key Responsibilities of a Legal Secretary in Property Law

  • Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative assistance to solicitors and legal executives across a range of matters, supporting 3-5 solicitors/fee earners.
  • Preparing legal correspondence, audio typing, draftingcontracts and documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Managing and organising files, schedules, and key dates, ensuring that all records and documentation are up to date and in accordance with legal procedures.
  • Handling incoming calls, emails and enquiries, liaising directly with clients, professional contacts and external parties in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Arranging appointments, meetings, and diary management for fee earners, as well as supporting with general office administration when required.
  • Assisting with court documents.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and high standards of client care at all times.

  • Previous experience in a legal secretary, legal assistant, or administrative support role within a law firm (minimum 1 year preferred), ideally with audio typing experience.
