Our client is looking for an organised and proactive conveyancing assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about developing their career in property law, values excellent client care, and thrives in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities in Conveyancing Support and Client Service- Assist conveyancers and solicitors with all aspects of residential property transactions including sales, purchases, transfers of equity, and remortgages.
- Draft routine correspondence, prepare standard legal documents, and update case files accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise professionally with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors, ensuring clear and timely communication at every stage of the conveyancing process.
- Undertake legal administrative duties including data entry, managing incoming and outgoing post, file opening and closing, and archiving.
- Conduct basic property searches and assist with the review and preparation of property reports as directed by fee earners.
- Support the team in maintaining compliance with SRA, AML, GDPR, and firm protocols.
- Respond to client enquiries with empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to delivering a high standard of service.
- Work collaboratively to ensure cases progress smoothly and within agreed timescales.
- Participate positively in team meetings, training, and the ongoing improvement of conveyancing processes.
- Previous experience in a conveyancing assistant role is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate professionally and empathetically with clients and colleagues.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and high standards of quality.
