We are seeking an organised and proactive Conveyancing Executive to join our client's team based in Brighton.
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential property matters, providing high-quality, proactive service from instruction.
This role will involve regular client contact, liaison with lenders and estate agents, and working to firm procedures to ensure timely and accurate matter progression.
Salary up to £40,000 Minimum 2 Years Experience as an Independent Fee Earner needed Hybrid Working Key responsibilities: Manage a caseload of residential conveyancing transactions including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and shared ownership; take ownership of files from instruction to completion in line with firm procedures and supervision levels.
Draft, review and prepare conveyancing documentation and correspondence such as contracts, transfer deeds, completion statements, client letters and bespoke documents; ensure accuracy and consistency with firm precedents.
Conduct and co-ordinate pre-completion searches and enquiries, obtain and review Land Registry documentation and title information, and liaise with lenders, estate agents, surveyors and managing agents to resolve title, leasehold or planning issues efficiently.
Manage client funds and completion monies in accordance with firm accounts procedures, prepare completion packs and statements, handle mortgage instructions and pre-completion requirements, and ensure accurate completion accounting.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and firm requirements including anti‑money laundering checks, client identification, data protection and internal quality processes; complete required training and checks as directed.
Key skills and experience: Proven experience working in residential conveyancing within a law firm or conveyancing practice, managing a caseload from instruction, for minimum 2 years Strong drafting and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail when preparing contracts, completion statements and client correspondence.
Practical knowledge of Land Registry processes, SDLT procedures and common residential title issues including leasehold matters and transfers of equity.
