Our client is looking for a Residential Property Solicitor to join a busy and well-established residential property team. The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of residential property matters, providing pragmatic legal advice, excellent client care and efficient case management. This is a client-facing role offering exposure to a broad range of transactions within a supportive firm that values professional development, collaborative working and high standards of service. The role will cover freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions, right to buy, shared ownership, new build transactions.
Salary: 50,000 - 65,000 - Hybrid Working
Key responsibilities:
- Manage a personal caseload of residential property matters from matter opening through to completion and post-completion, ensuring timely progress and consistent client updates.
- Provide legal advice to clients on sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity and leasehold issues, identifying risks and proposing pragmatic solutions.
- Draft, review and approve contract packs, transfer deeds, lease documentation, completion statements and related conveyancing documentation in line with firm precedents and client requirements.
- Conduct and review property searches, raise and respond to requisitions on title, review title documents and advise on title defects.
