Job Description
Sales & Marketing Director – PE-backed growth
We have been retained by a market-leading engineering surveying business to appoint a Sales & Marketing Director to lead and develop the company’s commercial function.
The business has 250+ employees across 16 offices, strong organic growth and private equity backing to support further expansion.
The business has built real momentum and a strong market position. This role is about taking that platform and building a more structured, scalable commercial engine to support the next phase of growth.
The role
Reporting to the CEO, you will take ownership of:
- Sales leadership and team development
- Marketing strategy and demand generation
- Key account growth and Account-Based Marketing
- Bid and tender performance
- CRM, pipeline management and commercial reporting
You will spend the majority of your time leading and coaching the team, alongside supporting key opportunities and strategic accounts.
What you’ll focus on
- Enhancing the effectiveness of an established sales team
- Bringing greater structure and consistency to sales processes
- Developing a more targeted, account-based approach to key clients
- Improving visibility of the customer journey through better use of data and attribution
- Supporting growth in higher-margin service lines
What we’re looking for
- A commercial leader with a strong sales background
- Experience in project-based or technical B2B services
- Track record of building and developing high-performing teams
- Understanding of construction, infrastructure, or the built environment
- Comfortable operating in a data-driven, CRM-led environment
