Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Read and understand engineering drawings.
- Clean steel before, during and at the end of use.
- Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.
- Weld/Fabricate steel component parts.
- Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
- Ensure that all works carried comply with quality procedures.
- Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures.
- Perform any other duties as required by management to suit business needs.
- Adhere to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.
- Adhere to company health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and tidy works area.
Role Requirements:
- Essential Criteria: Previous experience of MIG Welding to a high standard in a work environment.
- Essential Criteria: Previous experience working in a heavy manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Essential Criteria: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Essential Criteria: Proven measurement and mathematical skills.
- Essential Criteria: Previous experience of TIG Welding to a high standard in a work environment.
