Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Clean steel before, during and at the end of use.
  • Use disc grinder to smooth out, weld, or grind parts prior to welding.
  • Weld/Fabricate steel component parts.
  • Examine weld for bead size and other specifications.
  • Ensure that all works carried comply with quality procedures.
  • Work as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures.
  • Perform any other duties as required by management to suit business needs.
  • Adhere to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.
  • Adhere to company health and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy works area.

Role Requirements:

  • Essential Criteria: Previous experience of MIG Welding to a high standard in a work environment.
  • Essential Criteria: Previous experience working in a heavy manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • Essential Criteria: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Essential Criteria: Proven measurement and mathematical skills.
  • Essential Criteria: Previous experience of TIG Welding to a high standard in a work environment.
  • Desirable Criteria: Previous experience in the same industry.
