Main Duties and Responsibilities Reading and understanding engineering drawings
Responsibilities
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings
- Working with hand and power tools, panel saws etc
- Working to set production targets
- Ability to safely move production parts
- Carry out routine maintenance and calibration of machines
- Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures.
- Any other duties as required by management to suit business needs.
- Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.
- Adherence to company health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean and tidy works area
Essential Experience & Training
- Previous experience working in a joinery workshop.
- Will have a sound joinery background and experience of working with hand and power tools, panel saws etc
- Have experience of working with other tradesmen and will have a good general joinery background
Desirable
- Has previous experience in similar role within a manufacturing industry
Competencies
- Able to communicate problems/issues at all team members
- Ability to work on their own or as part of their team
- Ability to adjust to change e.g. job machine/process
- Ability to fault find, trouble shoot, diagnose and resolve issues
- Comply with quality regulations & standards, attention to detail
Miscellaneous
- Candidate should be available to work flexible hours when required with notice
- Desirable to have clean current driving license
