Full job description Main Duties and Responsibilities You will read and understand engineering drawings. Operating the Press brake machine to bend and shape metal to specification. Inspecting fresh sheet metal for any imperfections or quality issues Monitor metal quality as its being shaped and identify and report drawing errors. Meeting set targets whilst working on the production line. Adhering to strict quality targets Unload components onto pallets and label correctly Carry out routine maintenance and calibration of machines. Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement. Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures. Any other duties as required by management to suit business needs. Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system. Adherence to company health and safety procedures. Maintain a clean and tidy works area Personal Specification Experience & Training Previous experience within a similar environment, operating workshop machinery Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings. Working knowledge of operating CNC machines Educational Attainments Has proven literacy and numeracy skills Competencies Communication - Able to communicate problems/issues at all team members. Initiative - Ability to work on their own or as part of their team. Versatility/Adaptability - Ability to adjust to change e.g. job machine/process Problem Solving - Ability to fault find, trouble shoot, diagnose and resolve issues.
