Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervision of all production/operational activities within Belt Loaders.
- First line of contact for operational issues within the department.
- Responsible for follow up checks to ensure all components are available for production purposes and follow up responses to queries.
- Ensure that all available resources (people & equipment) are utilised to maximum effect in order to achieve and exceed all customer KPI\βs.
- Maintain harmonious working relationships with all direct employees, nominated representatives and ensure that all \βsubcontracted\β resources perform to the required standard cost effectively.
- Ensure Mallaghan operations meet all legal requirements and adhere to
- Company policies with regard to statutory obligations and Health & Safety requirements
- Maintain the Company\βs Quality and Environmental Systems and ensure that all operating employees adhere to written procedures.
- Responsible for production of monthly/weekly/daily Metrics as defined by the Production Manager.
- Alongside Human Resources, conduct meetings relating to employee relations such as disciplinaries, grievances, etc.
- Maintain employees Performance Management System
- Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures
- Any other duties as required by management to suit business needs.
- Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.
- Adherence to company health and safety procedures.
Experience & Training
- Previous experience in a heavy engineering / manufacturing environment
- Previous experience as a qualified Mechanic/Hydraulic Fitter/Assembly Fitter
- Sound production knowledge and experience of meeting tight deadlines
- Previous experience supervisory/managing people experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Educational Attainments
- Has proven literacy and numeracy skills
