Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervision of all production/operational activities within Belt Loaders.
• First line of contact for operational issues within the department.
• Responsible for follow up checks to ensure all components are available for production purposes and follow up responses to queries.
• Ensure that all available resources (people & equipment) are utilised to maximum effect in order to achieve and exceed all customer KPI\’s.
• Maintain harmonious working relationships with all direct employees, nominated representatives and ensure that all \”subcontracted\” resources perform to the required standard cost effectively.
• Ensure Mallaghan operations meet all legal requirements and adhere to
• Company policies with regard to statutory obligations and Health & Safety requirements
• Maintain the Company\’s Quality and Environmental Systems and ensure that all operating employees adhere to written procedures.
• Responsible for production of monthly/weekly/daily Metrics as defined by the Production Manager.
• Alongside Human Resources, conduct meetings relating to employee relations such as disciplinaries, grievances, etc.
• Maintain employees Performance Management System
• Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures
• Any other duties as required by management to suit business needs.
• Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.
• Adherence to company health and safety procedures.

Experience & Training

• Previous experience in a heavy engineering / manufacturing environment
• Previous experience as a qualified Mechanic/Hydraulic Fitter/Assembly Fitter
• Sound production knowledge and experience of meeting tight deadlines
• Previous experience supervisory/managing people experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings
• Educational Attainments
• Has proven literacy and numeracy skills
• IT Skills
