We’re looking a passionate and forward thinking Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll design, test and validate functional and robust electrical systems driving a sustainable future for aviation Ground Support Equipment.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical circuit schematics, harnesses and panel layouts to applicable internal and industry standards and legislative requirements.
- Create technical documentation including design specifications, work instructions, parts list, list of critical parts and maintenance components.
- Conduct simulations and other engineering analyses to guide and verify designs and specify the electrical and electronic components for use in the vehicle system.
- Liaise with cross department teams to fully realise design boundaries to helping to identify technical solutions to realise design and achieve \’right first time\’ approach.
- Develop electrical solutions by studying customer requirements, researching and testing components and determining overall system integration.
- Communicate requirements and work with PLC Software Engineers to develop controls strategies for powertrain and driveline components and systems.
- Working on projects to expand the current product range and bring new products to the market.
- Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
Skills and Qualifications
- Must have an HND or equivalent in electronic/electrical engineering or relevant working engineering experience.
- A minimum of 5 years’ postgraduate work experience in a similar design role.
- Understanding of safety critical systems and the application to electrical and electronics systems design.
