Job Summary

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring that goods are stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately and efficiently.

You will be responsible for a wide range of tasks, including receiving and unloading deliveries, organising stock, and preparing orders for dispatch.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you'll contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and organised warehouse environment.

About the Job

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Counterbalance FLT on a regular basis
  • Ensure FLT checks are carried out daily and failures reported via mango system
  • Carry out picking of products in a timely and accurate manner
  • Support packing room ensuring packaging material is always available to support line efficiency
  • Ensure Stock rotation is done in compliance with agreed site standards
  • Report all damages to stock controller/line manager and locate in quarantine once advised
  • Complete pre-loading/unloading vehicle inspections and ensure drivers follow the site rules
  • Ensure vehicle is loaded with out damages
  • Transferring of Tidmans rock salt to standard pallets
  • Loading and unloading of vehicle containers
  • Maintain effective communication such as hauliers, line management
  • Follow site escalation procedures in the event of issues, non-compliance and failures
  • Ensure all personnel visiting area follow site HSE procedures
  • Ensure product is delivered/despatched with correct documentation
  • Ensure weekly cleaning schedule is completed and updated via mango system
  • Take reasonable and practical care of personal health and safety and of others who may be required to implement any legal or company directives regarding health and safety at work
  • Maintain and drive all standards relating to Health & Safety, quality, and hygiene
  • Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required
  • Practical experience of working within a high speed/FMCG manufacturing operation is essential
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and HSE process and legislation is essential
  • Experience of driving Counterbalance FLT, and a valid, externally accredited licence, is essential
  • Valid driving licence to drive on public highways is essential
  • Understanding of working with scanners is an advantage

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 GCSE’s A – C (5-9) or demonstrable ability to interpret technical information is essential
  • HACCP/ISO/COSHH knowledge is desirable
  • Hours and Location
  • 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
  • Please note that this role is initially based on fixed working hours of

8:00am to 4:15pm . However, should the position become permanent the completion of the 12-month fixed term contract, you will be required to work the Company's rotating shift pattern

(please see below) in line with operational requirements. Full details of the shift pattern will be provided in advance should this change apply.

  • Based at both our sites in Wycke Hill Business Park, Maldon, Essex, CM9 6UZ and Oval Park, Langford, Essex CM9 6QD
  • ****Shift Pattern should the position become permanent
  • Week 1 = 05:45 – 14:00, with one 15-minute paid break and one 30-minute unpaid break
  • Week 2 = 07:30-15:45, with one 15-minute paid break and one 30-minute unpaid break
  • Week 3 = 08:00- 16:15, with one 15-minute paid break and one 30-minute unpaid break
  • Week 4 = 09:30-17:45, with one 15-minute paid break and one 30-minute unpaid break
  • Week 5 = 12:00 to 20:15, with one 15-minute paid break and one 30-minute unpaid break
