Maldon Partners are recruiting a Hedge Fund Operations Analyst on a permanent basis for an award-winning Asset Management firm based in London. The firm is known for its forward-thinking strategies and innovative approach to trading. The team comprises of high calibre individuals from diverse backgrounds united by focus on high performance. The company was founded in 2010 and currently has c40 employees and a £1bn AUM. Please note the successful candidate will be expected to be in the office 5 days a week. Hybrid working is not available.

The Operations Analyst will join a high performing team and will report to the Head of Operations and Compliance. They will be responsible for the day-to-day middle and back-office functions of the firm. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Real time trade support to investment Directors and portfolio managers
  • Key point of contact for trading, investment management and sales
  • Booking and processing trades
  • Setting up new counterparty relationships
  • Daily cash and position reconciliations
  • Cash, treasury and collateral management
  • Producing daily P&L
  • Assisting with NAV calculations
  • Support asset and share hedging facilities
  • Monitoring risk
  • Develop and maintain relationships with custodians and third-party administrators
  • Review portfolio and fund restrictions
  • Assist with system upgrades and streamlining processes
  • Recommend improvements

Experienced Required:

  • Minimum of 2 years Operations experience gained with the Hedge fund / Asset Management industry or investment banking.
  • Proven record of academic excellence ESSENTIAL
  • Strong understanding of different investment products
  • Good knowledge of the full trade lifecycle
  • Knowledge of multiple asset classes, CDS, Fixed income, FX and CFDs
  • Strong numeracy and IT skills (VBA, SQL). This will be tested
  • Be self-motivated and have a strong drive to succeed
  • Strong communication skills

Salary: The Hedge Fund Operations role has a base salary of c£50,000 - £65,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits and bonus package.
