Shop Assistant

Malcolm Barnecutt Bakeries employ over 270 employees in locations across Cornwall and Devon and are accredited with being one of the top 150 employers in Cornwall.

We are now recruiting for a Shop Assistant to join the team on a full-time basis in our Estuary shop in Wadebridge. Working 35 hours each week, will include weekends on a rota basis. Some flexibility would be helpful to cover absences during peak season.

Daily duties will include the following:

• Serving customers in polite and professional manner
• Organising food displays ready for sale
• Unloading deliveries
• Compliance with food hygiene and quality standards at all times
• Keeping customer dining areas clean
• Working safely with machinery such as coffee machines
• Keeping production areas clean with adherence to cleanliness standards

As a person you will require the following qualities:

• Good communication skills, with a good level of spoken English
• Be reliable and punctual
• Be flexible with shifts to help provide cover during holidays
• Ability to work well in a team
• Enthusiastic and hardworking
