Full Time, Temporary Contract to cover a maternity leave for one year, commencing 1st September 2026. We are looking for a candidate who is:
- An inspirational teacher with high expectations of students and themselves, determined to secure good outcomes for students.
- Capable of teaching English across the curriculum.
- Has, if possible, A level experience.
- Willing to generously give their time outside of lessons to students and colleagues.

The English team are highly skilled, enthusiastic and supportive, working together as a well‑established team. The curriculum is driven by research, student voice, work scans and lesson observations. Year 7 to Year 11 are taught in ability groups and classes are set according to ability to support adaptive teaching and provide appropriate challenge and support for all. The team uses appropriate new technologies to support learning and offers enrichment opportunities, including established trips across both departments. Continuous CPD is strong, with a CPD period on every teacher's timetable.
