The predicted salary is between 24000 - 28000 £ per year.

You will work as part of the East District’s Wildlife Ranger team to deliver forest protection and habitat conservation objectives.

Location: East District is seeking two Wildlife Rangers. One post will cover Kent and Sussex, based within sensible travelling distance of our Abbots Wood deer larder near Hailsham (BN26 6SL). One post will cover the Chilterns Beat, based within sensible travelling distance of our Wendover deer larder and office (HP22 5NF).

Selection and Assessment:

  • The selection process includes technical skills tests: firearms handling and safety, deer management and wildlife knowledge.
  • Behavioural assessment based on the following competencies: Seeing the Big Picture, Making Effective Decisions, Working Together, Managing a Quality Service.
  • Criminal record check and the government baseline personnel security standard check.
