Malary Ltd is a privately owned business trading for 40 years operating in two specialist areas: 1) Recovery of hazardous waste to produce alternative fuels for UK industry and 2) Asset protection including the maintenance, cleaning, decommissioning and installation of tanks, pumps, pipelines and flood protection systems at client premises in the UK. Role Summary: Our Energy and Environmental Services Division offers a range of maintenance, repair, installation and measurement options to customer sites. We are excited to be recruiting for a Service Operative to join our growing Energy Environmental and Services department. Travelling around the UK will be required with an attractive night out allowance. This role offers a variety of opportunities covering the fuel systems sector; from tank servicing to decommissioning and everything in between – no day will be the same. You will benefit from close working relationships with Project Managers and Site Supervisors who hold market leading knowledge to support learning and development. A willingness to help and be a team player is very important to us. A fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to learn and grow in this industry with a family run business.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Confined space work
- Cleaning out tanks, including Jet washing
- Grit blasting inside tanks to NDT Standards
- Thickness testing/pressure testing tanks & pipework
- Installing tanks & bunds
- Decommissioning & removal of tanks
- Working to a high safety standard
Qualifications & Training:
- Water Jetting (At high pressure up to 40,000psi) (desirable)
- Confined space training (essential)
- COSHH awareness (essential)
Experience:
- Practical experience working tools & machinery (essential)
- Working within confined spaces (essential)
- Working at heights (essential)
Qualities and Behaviours:
- Good communication skills in English (written and verbal) (essential)
