The Vacancy
Malaria Consortium is recruiting for a Senior Digital Specialist – Maternity Cover to join our team in London, UK.
The Senior Digital Health Specialist works with internal and external stakeholders to ensure Malaria Consortium utilises digital health opportunities to enhance the quality of the organisation’s programming. This role involves considering the perspectives of all external stakeholders while aligning with the organisation\’s operational practicalities to improve programming quality and strengthen global capacity.
The successful candidate will have:
- Post-graduate degree or equivalent experience in relevant fields (public/global health, digital health, information systems, or similar)
- At least 5 years’ experience in designing, developing, testing, implementing, and monitoring digital solutions, preferably within health systems
- Experience working with and providing technical assistance on digital solutions to stakeholders at various levels
- In-depth knowledge of the digital health sector, including donor priorities, key stakeholders, flagship projects, platforms, approaches, themes, and trends
- Knowledge and experience with community health information systems, public health campaigns, and health systems strengthening
- Experience in research methodology, implementation, analysis, and interpretation
- Project management experience in malaria or other public health programmes
- Effective collaboration with government and non-government partners
- Stakeholder mapping, analysis, and engagement skills, especially with government officials
- Proposal writing and/or business development experience
- Ability to manage and prioritize a high workload in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with a broad range of software solutions
- Experience in monitoring and evaluating digital health interventions
This position is a maternity cover and is a fixed-term contract for up to 12 months.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
We currently operate a hybrid working model; staff are required to come into the office at least four times a month.
