The Vacancy
Malaria Consortium is recruiting a Project Officer to join our team in Ethiopia. The role will be based within South Ethiopia, Wolaita zone, in 2 districts.
The postholder will be responsible for providing technical support, coordination, and implementation of all project activities in their respective project zone and districts.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master\’s in Field Epidemiology, MPH, or related health disciplines
- At least 5 years’ experience working on Malaria Surveillance and outbreak emergency response
- Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
- Familiarity with the Ethiopian health system
- Experience working with government and non-government partners to deliver project objectives
- A qualification in public health and project management
- Knowledge of malaria elimination strategies, emergency response, prevention, and control policies
- Experience designing and implementing behaviour change communication activities
- Experience working in community-based activities
- Flexible and adaptable to various working conditions
- Capable of working with tight timelines
- Work experience in South Ethiopia is preferable
