Are you someone who sees logistics not just as movement but as a system to be mastered, optimized, and evolved? If you thrive on improving complex freight operations, building smart 3PL partnerships, and finding cost-saving opportunities others miss — this might be the perfect role for you.
We’re looking for a D2C Logistics Manager to join Malaberg Group and help us reshape how products move across borders and reach customers faster and smarter, especially in the USA.
Who We Are: Malaberg Group is not just another company. We are a rapidly expanding direct-to-consumer innovator, creating brands that transform customers’ lives. Our US brands have expanded rapidly, driven by our commitment to breakthrough, high-quality products.
What You’ll Do: As D2C Logistics Manager, you’ll take ownership of both international freight logistics and last-mile parcel delivery. You’ll be responsible for optimizing pallet shipments, setting up US 3PL operations, and driving measurable cost reductions across our global logistics setup. This is a high-impact role for someone ready to roll up their sleeves and lead both strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Freight & Cargo Management: Oversee air and freight shipments from UK to US for both raw materials and finished goods. Identify and manage freight forwarders, optimize routes, and reduce costs through smart vendor negotiation.
- 3PL Strategy & Execution: Set up and manage relationships with US-based 3PL partners for direct-to-consumer parcel delivery. Lead warehouse selection, contract negotiation, and performance tracking.
- Cost Optimization & Data Analysis: Build and own dashboards to track freight and parcel metrics. Use data to identify savings opportunities, benchmark performance, and inform strategic decisions.
- Multi-Warehouse Expansion: Support the rollout of multiple warehouse hubs across the US to reduce last-mile delivery times and improve customer experience.
- Cross-Border Compliance & Coordination: Ensure smooth movement of goods across regions by coordinating with manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement teams.
- Vendor Performance Management: Hold freight and 3PL partners accountable through structured reporting, pricing scorecards, and SLA reviews.
- Process Improvement & Reporting: Establish reporting frameworks for logistics KPIs and lead continuous improvement efforts for delivery speed, reliability, and cost.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven track record in logistics, freight, or supply chain management within a D2C or B2C environment, with measurable results to demonstrate impact.
- Track Record: Proven experience managing 3PL relationships, setting up new logistics providers, and optimizing shipping from multiple regions.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel and reporting tools; a data-first mindset is essential.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of US warehousing, parcel delivery, and global freight networks.
- Communication: Skilled at working cross-functionally and managing external vendors and partners.
- Location: UK-based, with occasional travel to the US required for partner visits. Some flexibility to collaborate across US time zones is preferred.
Preferred Experience:
- Hands-on logistics leadership within fast-paced D2C, B2C or manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of multi-region shipping operations, particularly between the UK, EU, and US.
- Prior success reducing freight or last-mile costs through data-led strategies.
- Experience launching or scaling multi-warehouse operations across the US.
