ABOUT US
The Maxwell Underground Mine, owned by Malabar Resources Ltd has commenced operations at their Hunter Valley site, with planned production of up to 8 million tonnes of per annum.
With approvals in place out to 2046, the mine targets high quality coal with the majority being metallurgical coal.
Malabar Resources is an independent Australian-based resources company located in the Upper Hunter Valley, in New South Wales.
In addition to the Maxwell Underground Mine, we own the Maxwell Solar Farm based on rehabilitated land on the Maxwell Infrastructure site, Maxwell Infrastructure, the Spur Hill Underground Project, and agricultural properties including the Merton Vineyard.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Due to our ongoing growth, we are now seeking an Infrastructure Supervisor to join our team.
Reporting to the Infrastructure Superintendent, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and effective maintenance of the site's surface infrastructure.
The role plans, coordinates and supervises maintenance activities to ensure infrastructure assets remain safe, reliable and available to support mining, processing and logistics operations.
The position provides frontline leadership to infrastructure maintenance personnel and contractors, ensuring preventative and corrective maintenance is completed to a high standard and in accordance with legislative and site requirements.
Working closely with Operations, Maintenance Planning and Contractors, the Infrastructure Supervisor is responsible for delivering maintenance work safely, efficiently and within budget while driving continuous improvement in asset reliability and maintenance performance.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
If successful, the incumbent will have
- Trade qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, Fabrication, Civil or similar) or equivalent maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated experience supervising maintenance teams in mining, heavy industry or processing.
- Current NSW Driver Licence.
- Strong maintenance supervision and planning capability.
- Sound understanding of preventative and corrective maintenance practices.
- Experience managing contractors and maintenance service providers.
- Knowledge of asset management and reliability principles.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability. Commitment to continuous improvement and maintenance excellence.
- Proficient in maintenance management systems (SAP, Pronto, MEX or similar) and Microsoft Office applications.
- A Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or formal qualifications in Project Management, Supervision or ICAM would be desirable.
