Position Overview

The Service Technician is responsible for the inspection, repair, and servicing of Makita products, including electric, cordless, and petrol tools, ensuring they meet quality standards and are repaired within company KPIs. This role requires a strong technical understanding of Makita tools and the ability to diagnose and repair issues with minimal assistance. The technician will also provide telephone support to internal and external customers, assist with warehouse operations (spare parts replenishment, picking, packing, shipping), and ensure accurate data entry in the management system. In addition, the technician will adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and assist with other assignments as needed by the business.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Tool Inspection & Repair: Diagnose, repair, and service a wide range of Makita power tools to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
  • Customer Support: Provide telephone support to internal teams and external customers with technical queries and repair updates.
  • Technical Reporting: Document repairs, tool conditions, and job details in a clear, concise manner, ensuring accurate records are maintained in our management system.
  • Warehouse Support: Assist with spare parts replenishment, picking, packing, and shipping of Makita products and components as needed.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety protocols at all times.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside colleagues to troubleshoot and repair tools, sharing expertise and supporting a culture of continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For:
