Join Makita UK as a Quality & Environmental Systems Coordinator and play a pivotal role in maintaining excellence across our operations. You’ll coordinate and support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Quality Management Systems across all sites, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards while supporting the day-to-day operations of our Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental Department. Working closely with the Health and Safety Coordinator, Price Audit Coordinator and site teams, you’ll help maintain our certification standards, conduct audits, monitor compliance, and foster a culture of quality excellence and environmental responsibility throughout the organisation.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Quality & Environmental Management
- Maintain QMS documentation to support ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications across Makita sites
- Monitor compliance with legislation and standards, notifying teams of relevant updates
- Assist in planning, coordinating, implementing and reporting internal and external audits
- Track and report quality and environmental KPIs for management review
- Handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints related to quality and environmental matters
- Support consistent implementation of quality and environmental management systems across all locations
- Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders on compliance and sustainability activities
- Maintain systems that promote customer awareness, waste reduction, recycling, and energy efficiency
- Support waste stream management, recordkeeping, and energy-saving initiatives
- Assist the H&S Coordinator with implementing and maintaining Health & Safety Management processes across all Makita sites
- Support monitoring and reporting of H&S performance to management
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Line Manager, in line with the role
- Travel to other Makita sites as required to assist with audits
What We Are Looking For:
- Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Expert working knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001 standards
- Good working knowledge of ISO 45001
- Demonstrated experience in quality and environmental management systems, preferably in a multi-site environment
- Internal and external audit experience with practical knowledge of ISO standards
- Good understanding of UK environmental and Health & Safety legislation
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills with strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for liaising with customers, suppliers, site teams, and management
- Strong analytical abilities for monitoring performance data and identifying improvement opportunities
- Proficient in converting customer feedback and audit findings into actionable improvements
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality management software systems
- Commitment to continuous improvement principles and culture
- Collaborative approach with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments
