The primary role of a driver is to safely drive people we support from Silver Street respite service to and from day centres in the Barnsley area and on day trips to other places. As a driver your responsibility is transporting people, and ensuring peoples’ safety and comfort during the journey.

Working hours will predominately be Monday-Friday 08:30-10:00 and 14:30-16:00. The times may change depending on the needs of the service users using the respite service. There are times when the day centres are closed or people use the service who don t access day centres, the driver will then be expected to work their contracted hours to drive the service users on days out, the service manager will liaise with the driver on their working hours, this may include weekends and evenings.

We have an opportunity available for a Permanent Part Time Driver (Mini Bus) to join the team at Silver Street Respite Service based in Barnsley, S75 3NP.

Salary: GBP12.00 hourly

Hours: 15 weekly, Please note, candidates should possess a full clean driving licence and be able to drive a 16 seater mini bus.
