We have an opportunity available for a Carer Support / Assessment Worker to join the team supporting our Cheshire East Carers Service. In the role of Carer Support / Assessment Worker, you will need to be passionate about empowering and helping carers with a range of matters on a one-to-one basis. In this role, you will provide values-based support, advice and information to service users and carers, ensuring they have access to practical and emotional support.
You will also assist carers to develop coping strategies, conduct home visits and carer assessments, and provide information about mental health services that are available to them. This is a community-based role; a full driving licence and access to your own reliable transport are essential as carer assessments are often carried out in the carers' homes. A good geographical understanding of the local areas is advantageous.
It's important to note that you do not need prior industry experience or any specific qualifications to be considered for this role. On joining Making Space, you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role. We are seeking individuals who can showcase that their personal values align with ours here at Making Space.
Please note, you must have a full UK Driving Licence and own transport as you will be required to travel throughout Macclesfield and the surrounding areas or the south areas of Cheshire East.
