Overview
We have opportunities available for Bank Support Workers to join the team at our Halton Supported Living Service, WA7 1DF.
Hourly rate: £12.60 per hour.
The service consists of 9 small supported living houses in various locations across Runcorn and Widnes which are home to adults of various ages living with learning disabilities who have various complex needs and require different levels of support.
Our bank contracts give you flexibility to chose the shifts you wish to work. Ideally you will work a long day followed by a sleep in shift which is paid in addition of £46 per night.

Responsibilities
As a Support Worker you should hold our Making Space values in your heart. You must be able to connect with individuals on a deep level, providing them with customised care, and helping them achieve their individual goals.
You will be assisting individuals with personal hygiene, grooming and dressing, empowering them to feel confident and comfortable in their own skin. You will also assist with medication, meal prep, moving and handling and supporting our service users to access the community. A kind understanding and flexible approach to your work is needed as you will also provide emotional support and encouragement to help these individuals build their confidence and self –esteem.

Qualifications
Although previous industry expereince would be an advantage, it’s important to note that you do not need prior industry experience or any specific qualifications to be considered for this role. On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
