Are you someone who understands the challenges of mental health recovery and knows how to support others through it? Do you have experience with medication, leading shifts, and guiding a team with confidence?

Making Space is a supportive and values-led organisation, and we are looking for a Senior Recovery Worker to join our Inspiring Minds service in Preston.

The role is a full-time, permanent position working 35 hours per week within our Supported Living Rehabilitation Service. You will support people with complex mental health needs to build confidence, develop independence and feel part of their community. No two days will be the same, and your role will be a mix of hands-on support and leading the team to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals on their recovery journey in a practical and meaningful way
  • Offer guidance around wellbeing, daily living, and community involvement

  • Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or willingness to work towards it)
  • Experience working in a mental health setting
  • Confidence supporting people with complex needs

  • A genuine desire to support others in a person-centred way
