Overview

We have an opportunity available for a Bank Recovery Worker to join the team at our new service, Stockport Connect Hub based in SK2 6RE. The service will be supporting those with enduring mental health conditions to live well, providing support tailored to their individual needs in a nurturing environment, which offers a safe, welcoming space where people can connect with others.

There will also be opportunities for the successful candidate to provide support as required to Open Door, Stockport SK1 1RJ.

Salary: £12.60 hourly

Responsibilities

As a Recovery Worker, you\’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in people\’s lives.

You\’ll provide compassionate, person-centered, and recovery-focused care and support, helping individuals build resilience, coping strategies, and self-management skills.

It\’s not just about addressing immediate needs; it\’s about empowering individuals to take control of their mental health and well-being in the long term. By fostering partnerships, signposting, and making referrals, you\’ll ensure that those attending our service have access to all the specialist, universal, and targeted support that they need.

Qualifications

It’s important to note that you do not need prior industry experience or any specific qualifications to be considered for this role. On joining Making Space you will be supported step by step with on-the-job training as well as the opportunity to undertake professional qualifications if desired and required for your role.
