The mission for this role
As a Director Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing our strategic vision across the Technical team. You will guide business development and client strategy, drive operational innovation, and represent Making Moves Technical as a thought leader in the commercial real estate sector. This is a high-impact leadership role. You’ll oversee complex project management jobs from concept through to completion. You will help steer the company’s growth, foster collaboration across departments, and influence our presence in the market.
Your focus will be:
- Deliver the Technical team’s strategy in line with company objectives.
- Lead revenue growth through effective pipeline management and commercial performance.
- Improve processes, reporting, and CRM adoption (e.g., Hubspot).
- Facilitate cross-team collaboration to win as a team and unlock shared success.
Team Leadership & Development
- Mentor senior staff and surveyors, setting standards for technical accuracy and reporting.
- Create an environment that encourages collaboration, professional growth, and continuous learning.
- Provide coaching and support to help team members level up and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Project Delivery
- Provide strategic oversight of multiple projects, ensuring consistent delivery standards and alignment with business objectives.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Lead high-level client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and influencing decision-making at leadership level.
- Manage and mentor project managers and junior staff, ensuring capability development and succession planning within the team.
- Ensure efficiency, accountability, and consistency in how projects are planned and delivered.
Client Strategy & Business Development
- Advise clients at early-stage workplace and property decision points, shaping delivery strategy before project commencement.
- Oversee client relationship management at a departmental level, ensuring objectives aligned with wider business goals.
- Shape business development initiatives by applying market insights and client knowledge.
- Improve fee structures and commercial models for project services.
- Represent the organisation in external settings, strengthening reputation as a trusted advisor.
Innovation & Technology
- Regularly review systems and processes, embedding smarter and more effective ways of working.
