We are looking for a motivated, reliable, and experienced Online Sales Lead to support and grow our online sales operations across 3 days a week. This role focuses on managing and developing MADM’s online sales platforms, including eBay, Vinted, Vintage Cash Cow, Facebook Marketplace, and our virtual showroom on the MADM website. The successful candidate must have previous online sales and customer service experience and be ready to step into the role with confidence and initiative.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify high-value or specialist donated items suitable for online sale.
  • Photograph, list, price, and manage stock across online selling platforms including eBay, Vinted, Vintage Cash Cow, Facebook Marketplace, and other suitable resale platforms where appropriate.
  • Create accurate, attractive, and engaging product listings.
  • Package and dispatch sold items safely and efficiently.
  • Monitor online enquiries and provide excellent customer service to buyers.
  • Maintain accurate records of online stock and sales.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining MADM’s virtual showroom on the charity website.
  • Create and upload social media sales posts to promote stock and online listings.
  • Help maximise income generation through online retail opportunities.
  • Assist shop staff where required during busy periods.
  • Always represent MADM professionally.
  • Work effectively with staff, volunteers, and management to ensure efficient workflow and completion of tasks.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience using online selling platforms such as eBay, Vinted, Facebook Marketplace, or similar.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using online systems and social media.
  • Ability to photograph and present products professionally for online sales.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Presentable, professional, and approachable.
  • Awareness of health and safety procedures.
  • Physically fit with good stamina due to the nature of the role.
  • Experience using social media for sales promotion.
  • Experience working within charity retail.
  • Experience managing website or online shop content.
  • Knowledge of vintage, branded, collectable, or specialist resale items.
