Financial Director in Rhyl

My client is seeking an ambitious and commercially astute Financial Director to join their growing group of businesses. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a successful and entrepreneurial business operating across property development, investment and operational trading companies. The successful candidate will work closely with the Directors and senior leadership team, playing a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the group while overseeing all financial operations. This is far more than a traditional finance role. My client is looking for a commercially minded individual who can add real value, identify opportunities, challenge decisions where necessary and help drive continued growth across the business.

The Role

• As FD, you will take responsibility for the financial performance, reporting and strategic financial planning of the group.
• Key responsibilities will include:
• Strategic financial planning, budgeting and forecasting across multiple businesses
• Managing cash flow, working capital and group liquidity
• Development finance and funding arrangements
• Managing lender, banking and investor relationships
• Financial oversight of property development projects and operational businesses
• Producing detailed management accounts and board-level reporting
• Supporting acquisitions, investments and future growth opportunities
• Financial modelling and investment appraisals
• Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency
• Developing and implementing robust financial controls and reporting systems
• Supporting business strategy and long-term growth plans
• Providing commercial guidance and challenge to the Directors and senior management team

The Candidate

My client is seeking an individual who combines strong financial expertise with commercial awareness and an entrepreneurial mindset. The successful candidate will be:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA or similarly qualified (preferred)
• Commercially minded and highly analytical
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
• A confident communicator capable of influencing senior stakeholders
• Proactive, driven and solutions-focused
• Able to operate strategically while remaining hands-on when required
