Key responsibilities:
- Managing the hot line during service
- Preparing and plating ramen, donburi, and other hot menu items
- Ensuring food quality, portion control, and presentation standards
- Supporting prep and stock rotation
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen section
- Working closely with the wider kitchen team during busy periods
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook, chef, or hot section chef
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong understanding of food hygiene, health & safety, and kitchen standards
- Consistent knife skills, prep skills, and section organisation
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Passion for quality food and attention to detail
- Experience with Japanese cuisine, ramen, or rice bowls is advantageous but not essential
- Food Safety / Hygiene certification preferred
- Right to work in the UK
