Pay Rate: £13 - £13.50 (typical earnings up to £16 p/h with tips)

Welcome to Maki Nori! We're looking for an experienced and confident Floor Supervisor to help lead the Front of House team at Maki Nori. You’ll be hands-on during service, supporting the team, maintaining our high service standards, and ensuring every guest receives the warm, polished experience expected of our upscale concept. If you're a natural leader with strong restaurant experience and a passion for great hospitality, we'd love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead the FOH team during service, maintaining Maki Nori's refined service standards
  • Build strong knowledge of the menu, premium ingredients and drinks to confidently guide guests
  • Coach the team on menu knowledge, recommendations and natural upselling
  • Lead pre-shift briefings and support smooth coordination between FOH, kitchen and bar
  • Handle guest feedback professionally and maintain a high standard of customer service
  • Support management with rotas, stock control, team organisation and daily operations
  • Train and develop FOH team members and support overall restaurant performance

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous supervisory or strong senior FOH experience in a quality-led restaurant
  • Excellent food, beverage and customer service knowledge
  • Confident communicating menu knowledge and recommending/upselling dishes
  • Strong leadership and team coaching skills
  • Good understanding of stock control, rotas and restaurant operations
  • Polished, organised and calm under pressure
  • A genuine interest in Japanese cuisine and premium hospitality
