We are looking for an experienced Visual Development Artist to join our growing animation studio in London. As a Visual Development Artist, you will develop a look for characters, environments, props, and lighting keys. You will also conduct visual research and develop the visual style that guides our productions. Working closely with the studio leaders and teams, you will help shape the visual identity of our projects from the earliest stages.

Responsibilities- Creating concept art for characters, environments, props, and lighting keys
- Developing mood boards, key art, and visual explorations to define style and tone
- Conducting visual research and gathering references to support idea generation
- Contributing to the development of the visual style and overall look of projects
- Collaborating with the studio leaders and team members to find creative solutions for production challenges
- Iterating effectively based on feedback to deliver feature-quality concepts
- Supporting the Story Team with ideation and visual development
- Experience in 3D animated projects, focusing on conceptual artwork
- Strong portfolio demonstrating story-driven character, environment, and lighting design work
- In-depth knowledge of form, composition, color theory, light, and perspective
- Ability to effectively use research and references in concept development
- Strong collaborative skills
