About Tutti Bambini
Tutti Bambini is a family-owned nursery furniture company founded over 30 years ago by Michael and Debra Samuel with the goal of supporting new mothers and fathers during their first steps into parenthood. After years working in nursery retail, and as parents themselves, Michael and Debra realised that nursery furniture available on the market often didn’t offer the versatility, value, and safety that new parents needed for their little ones. Drawing on a background in technical design, and on their own parenting experiences, Michael and Debra created Tutti Bambini: a nursery furniture range combining elegance and beauty with innovation and practicality. From its beginnings in a little London store, the Tutti Bambini brand has grown to become a feature in nurseries across the UK, and includes ranges of cots, cot beds, nursing chairs, highchairs, and more. Crafted to the highest standards of quality and safety, every piece of Tutti Bambini furniture is designed to be loved, and used, by families for years to come. Tutti Bambini has been acquired by Heroes in 2023, and is now part of Heroes' family of brands.
About the role
We are seeking a sharp, commercially-minded Finance Manager to take ownership of our day-to-day accounting operations, monthly close, and financial reporting across our core international markets (UK, EU, and US). Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will lead our operational accounts team while playing a pivotal hands‑on role in FP&A, budgeting, and commercial analysis. This is a hybrid role bridging strict financial control with business strategy in a fast‑paced, multi-channel consumer goods environment.
Responsibilities
- Financial Control & Accounting Management
- Direct line management of the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Take full ownership of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for UK, EU, and US entities.
- Ensure complete balance sheet reconciliations, inventory accounting, and deferred revenue accuracy across multi-currency operations (GBP, EUR, USD).
- Manage cross-border compliance, including UK VAT, EU OSS/VAT registrations, and US state sales taxes alongside external advisors.
- Maintain strong internal controls, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards (UK GAAP / IFRS).
- FP&A, Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the operational delivery of annual budgets and rolling quarterly forecasts in partnership with the Financial Controller.
- Monitor budget vs. actuals performance, investigating variances and providing actionable insights to department heads.
- Track critical CPG metrics: gross margin by territory/channel, stock turn, landed costs, customer acquisition costs (CAC), and return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Build cash flow forecasting models to optimise working capital and inventory purchases.
- Commercial & Operational Analysis
- Partner with Operations and Logistics to monitor stock movements, valuation, landed costs, and duty/tariff implications across UK, EU, and US warehouses.
- Analyse profitability by region and channel (e.g., Direct-to-Consumer/e-commerce vs. Amazon vs. Wholesale/B2B retail).
- Assist with product margin analysis, pricing strategies, and promotional ROI for new product launches.
About you
- Professional Qualification: ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Industry Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in a CPG, FMCG, or e-commerce business selling physical products (experience in regulated categories like baby/child products is a strong bonus).
- Multi-Jurisdiction Exposure: Proven experience handling accounting and tax nuances across the UK, EU, and US markets.
- Team Leadership: Experience managing or mentoring junior accounts staff (AP/AR).
