Make UK is hiring a Regional Membership Manager to play a key role in growing and supporting our manufacturing network across Wales. This is a brilliant opportunity to get stuck into a varied role spanning business development, member engagement and stakeholder influence. You’ll be right at the heart of the Welsh manufacturing community, working with businesses, partners and policymakers to strengthen Make UK’s presence and impact.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll act as an ambassador for Make UK in Wales, building strong relationships with members, engaging with key stakeholders (including the Senedd), and driving growth across the region.
  • Working closely with the Membership Director, you’ll help shape and deliver a strategy to grow membership while ensuring existing members are engaged, supported and seeing real value.
  • Identifying and winning new members across Wales.
  • Building a pipeline through proactive outreach and lead generation events.
  • Engaging non-members and converting them into long‑term relationships.
  • Promoting Make UK’s full range of services and commercial offerings.
  • Generating leads for wider teams including consultancy, training and Advantage programmes.
  • Supporting partnership opportunities with the commercial team.
  • Building strong, lasting relationships with members.
  • Delivering events, webinars and regional networking opportunities.
  • Leading local member engagement activity and site visits.
  • Driving retention and identifying opportunities for membership upgrades.
  • Acting as a key contact to ensure members feel supported and valued.
  • Working cross‑functionally to maintain high service standards.
  • Supporting activity with Welsh Government and key stakeholders.
  • Feeding member insight into wider policy work.
  • Communicating key policy updates and developments to members.
  • Representing Make UK at events and across social channels.

Requirements

  • Experience in B2B sales, business development or account management.
  • A strong relationship builder with a customer‑first mindset.
  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with a range of stakeholders.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage your own time effectively.
  • Experience working across teams and building internal relationships.
  • A good understanding of the business landscape in Wales (desirable).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Wales.
