We’re looking for a dynamic, people-focused Regional Membership Manager to join our passionate team, representing Make UK across the Midlands and East of England. In this influential role, you’ll be the face of Make UK in your region - strengthening relationships with our members, engaging with industry leaders, and driving membership growth. You’ll help ensure manufacturers have the support, representation, and connections they need to thrive.
What You’ll Do
- Business Development: Identify and secure new member opportunities, helping to grow Make UK’s vibrant community. Build relationships with key partners and stakeholders across industry and government. Lead engaging events and networking opportunities that connect members and showcase Make UK’s value. Drive lead generation campaigns and regional initiatives to raise awareness of Make UK’s full range of business support services.
- Member Engagement & Retention: Champion member satisfaction through regular contact, site visits, and engagement plans. Work collaboratively with teams across Make UK to deliver exceptional service and support. Lead local “Member Connect” activities and regional meetings to strengthen community ties. Organise dynamic webinars, roundtables, and networking events that deliver tangible value.
- External Affairs: Represent Make UK and its members to local government, industry bodies, and media. Support campaigns that promote the manufacturing sector and influence regional decision-makers. Communicate Make UK’s achievements, policy updates, and events to members across your region.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven success in sales, business development, or account management.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- A strong customer or member focus and an ability to understand business challenges.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Excel, and Word.
- A proactive, organised, and adaptable approach.
- Degree-level education (or equivalent experience).
- A valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
Desirable: Experience in marketing, membership organisations, or knowledge of the local economy.
