We are looking for a Soft Services Manager who values respect, collaboration and inclusion, and is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and well‑run site. In this visible, collaborative role, you’ll coordinate and manage essential services including security, cleaning, catering, waste management, access control, CCTV, and document handling while line‑managing on‑site support staff and working closely with colleagues and external partners to ensure services are delivered safely and consistently.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate all soft services, including security, cleaning, catering, waste management and access control, ensuring the site runs smoothly and safely.
- Manage contracts and suppliers, monitoring performance, addressing issues, and driving continuous improvement.
- Line manage Reception and Handyperson staff, supporting and developing them in a positive, inclusive environment.
- Ensure all services comply with health, safety and statutory requirements.
- Oversee budgets and purchase orders, ensuring cost‑effective delivery of services.
- Act as the main point of contact for colleagues, contractors and visitors, building strong relationships.
- Manage day‑to‑day site operations, reactive requests and event support.
- Monitor performance, provide clear reports and implement improvements to enhance service quality.
Requirements
- A Soft Services or Facilities Management qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience managing contracts and external suppliers.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced operational, production or manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to small works, refurbishments or minor fit‑out projects.
- An IOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
