Make UK is the leading trade association for the manufacturing and engineering sector, supporting and championing British industry. We are looking for a knowledgeable and forward-thinking Help Line Adviser to join our expert Employment Law Advice Line team.

The Role

Working closely with the Advice Line Lead, you will provide comprehensive employment law, HR and employee relations advice to Make UK member companies. You will play a key role in delivering trusted, professional guidance and advice while supporting wider business objectives across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely, accurate employment law, HR and employee relations advice to member companies via telephone, Teams and in writing.
  • Review contracts of employment, HR policies, procedures and employment documentation.
  • Draft bespoke settlement agreements.
  • Maintain high standards of technical and legal knowledge through ongoing research and training.
  • Work collaboratively with other Make UK teams to support member retention.
  • Identify opportunities for additional fee-paying services and business development.
  • Manage files and matters accurately using case management systems.
  • Use system templates to produce consistent, high-quality legal documents and communications.
