At Make UK, we support manufacturers across the UK, and our Business Development team plays a key role in helping members get the most value from our offering. We’re now looking for a Business Development Executive (BDE) to join the team.
The Role
- This is a relationship-led, telesales and engagement role focused on quality conversations, not quick wins.
- You’ll be speaking with existing members who aren’t yet using our services, helping them engage with events, briefings and updates, and introducing them to our HRL and EHS subscription services.
- You’ll work closely with Business Development Managers, advisers and marketing, playing a key role in turning engagement into long-term partnerships.
- Reaching out to members to promote events, briefings and legal updates.
- Encouraging attendance and building ongoing engagement.
- Identifying needs through structured, professional conversations.
- Supporting conversion into HRL and EHS subscription services.
- Following up with event attendees and nurturing interest.
- Keeping CRM records accurate and up to date.
- Working closely with BDMs and advisers to build a strong pipeline.
- Contributing to team targets and overall commercial success.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in outbound calling or telesales (ideally B2B).
- Confident communicator — both over the phone and in writing.
- Comfortable working towards activity and performance targets.
- Strong organisation and attention to detail.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- A team player who enjoys collaborating and sharing insight.
