We are seeking an IT/Digital Trustee to guide the digital development of a community organisation supporting vulnerable people. Our work spans wellbeing, inclusion, community support, appeals, STEM for young people, and employability. You’ll provide strategic digital oversight at board level.

During this significant growth period, the IT / Digital Trustee will strengthen our digital systems, cyber security, and data management, enabling safe, efficient services. Your guidance will support remote working, help achieve Cyber Essentials, and ensure technology drives innovation and a greater positive impact for the people we support.

What are we looking for? We are looking for a trustee with strong IT and digital expertise, including experience in cyber security, data management, and digital systems strategy. Ideally, you’ve supported organisations through digital growth or transformation and can provide strategic guidance at board level. Experience with remote working systems, compliance standards like Cyber Essentials, or technology enabling community services is highly valued.

What will you be doing? This new role is one of four trustee positions joining a new board to work alongside our directors. The IT / Digital Trustee will guide our digital strategy, cyber security, data protection, and systems as we expand remote working and aim for Cyber Essentials accreditation. You’ll help strengthen digital governance, improve efficiency, and ensure technology supports our vital services for vulnerable communities.
