The Role
They're looking for an innovative Senior Garment Technologist to join their New Product Development team across Plus/Curve-sized products. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on pushing boundaries and thinking outside the box. You will be knowledgeable in grade fitting, and confident in accurately amending graded specs based on fitting data, with a passion for fit and sizing. You will be at the forefront of innovation, redefining technical specifications and setting new industry standards. Your expertise will ensure their garments meet the highest quality standards and lead in fit, comfort, and performance.
Salary: £50 - 55K per year
Hybrid - 3 days a week in London-based office
What will my day-to-day look like?
- Knowledge across Jersey dresses/tops/bottoms/leggings/knitwear/lingerie swimwear. May have some woven products to work on, such as denim/tailoring, etc.
- Drive fit sessions with a focus on pushing the boundaries of garment comfort.
- Accurately dictate/record fit comments, annotate fit photos for clarity and ensure seamless communication with suppliers. All fit comments are to be processed on the PLM system. Candidate must be confident to use such systems.
- Measuring and quality-checking products where necessary before fittings.
- Approval of AQL reports with the supply base. Carrying out ad hoc quality checks with any stock if complaints arise/when necessary.
- Working on approval of shipment samples for your product categories, ensuring to maintain the agreed fit and quality level against sealed Pre-Production samples.
- Creating initial specifications for new products. Working alongside the PD team to ensure the correct fabric and trims are selected for desired specifications.
- Carrying out model measuring at the start of each fit session to ensure your fit comments are in line with sizing expectations.
- Senior-level experience in reading lab test reports and problem-solving issues.
- Support the creation and maintenance of internal processes and documents, including manuals, grading and process documents.
- Liaise with the Product Development team to ensure the critical technical path is running on time.
- Clear communication with the supplier base via email and video calls.
- Keeping the critical path up to date with technical milestones.

- Knowledge of grade fitting and amending specifications based on fitting data.

- Proactive in fast-paced environments; experienced at Senior Technologist level, especially with plus-size and fuller bust.
- Knowledge of international compliance, sustainable fabrics, and product labelling.
- Experience in measuring models and conducting AQL quality checks with international suppliers.
